I
have published my first novel, “How I Got By, A Family Saga.”This is
a passionately told story about courage, freedom and hope. The story is
about an African American family whose 100 years of history reveals its traditions, obligations,
and bonds of faith, trust, forgiveness and love.
I have always wanted to write a book, "How I Got
By," completes that dream, but it doesn't stop there. I wanted to capture
something special in the story I share, to each person who reads it, they have a little different experience and take
something with them that I hope makes their day more special. Enjoy
reading "How I Got By" and viewing my website.
I am excited about sharing my story about family and life choices; about facing our challenges with freedom from the bonds of physical, mental and emotional chains of slavery, as well as with the calming reassurance of peace and hope through our faith and trust in the Lord.
I am available to make presentations at schools, as well as for organiations, small groups and Bible Study groups on a variety of subjects, including the Michigan's Role in the Underground Railroad, ans an array of subjects that relate to Women and Spirituality.
I invite you to read "How I Got By," and to share you thoughts with me, if you are interested in having me as a speaker for your group please contact me by email at glwriter@sbcglobal.net Thanks for visiting. Order Your Copy today |
