Guest Speaking

is one of the most exciting things to do. It is an opportunity to share wioth others things learned about our past, and about life. It is my hope to share with others a little bit of the knowledge, and wisdom I have been blessed with in a new and exciting way, in a way to make their learning more interesting and exciting as well.

I am available for public and private school groups, conventions, conferences and meetings for churches, professional and social organizations, as well as, families, book clubs and small groups. Below are a few of the topics I speak on, each are related to the subject matter in How I Got By, a Family Saga and based on historical facts.

My presentations share the history and stories of the African American slave and what life was like for a slave. I use a variety display items including a miniature model of an escaping slave finding a safe house on the Underground Railroad to bring to life the experience of deciding to escape the burden of slavery and how one find’s their way in an unfamiliar world.
